Lompoc - January 23rd, 2017
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance to help locate a missing senior citizen. The daughter of 89-year-old Evelyn Hines reported her missing yesterday, January 22, 2017, at approximately 6:40 p.m. when her elderly mother never returned from running some errands. She was last seen at approximately 3:00 p.m. leaving her daughter’s residence on T Street in the City of Lompoc driving a white 2006 Toyota Highlander (LIC# 5PRX901).
Hines has no connection to this area, other than her daughter in Lompoc. She had just moved to Solvang the same day from the Palm Springs area and was staying at a hotel in Solvang while in the process of purchasing a home. Her family is especially concerned because she is unfamiliar with the area and does not have a cell phone.
Hines was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a blue/gray sweater and beige loafer-type shoes. Hines is approximately 5’8”, 140 to 150 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. If you have any information on her whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Santa Barbara County Public Safety Dispatch Center at 805-683-2724. To leave an anonymous tip, call 805-681-4171.
