Stolen Credit Card Suspect
Public Assistance Requested to Help Identify Suspect Who Went On Shopping Spree with Stolen Credit Card in Santa Maria
Santa Maria - March 15th, 2016
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance to locate a suspect who went on a shopping spree in Santa Maria with a stolen credit card. The credit card was in a wallet that was left in an unlocked vehicle and was stolen during the early morning hours of November 17, 2015. The suspect then fraudulently used the card to make purchases at several retail locations, including two separate trips to Home Depot.
Surveillance video, which was recently made available, shows the suspect as being a white male adult, approximately 25 years of age, light to medium build, with a thin beard. The suspect was wearing a baseball cap (worn backwards), a two-tone jacket (black on the front, gray on the back, with a black hood), and tan pants.
