Isla Vista April 9th, 2014
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Large Emergency Event Digital Information Repository (LEEDIR) to assist in our efforts to collect and analyze eyewitness videos and photographs of the Deltopia Civil Unrest incident. Witnesses are encouraged to visit www.leedir.us to provide any photos or videos they have of the Deltopia Civil Unrest.
The www.leedir.us website is optimized for use on your mobile device. LEEDIR is also available as an app for Apple iOS and Android devices. Photo and video submissions may be made anonymously.
LEEDIR is a public and private sector partnership, created to enhance the safety of American citizens. The Large Emergency Event Digital Information Repository platform was conceptualized by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department when the value of eyewitness information was realized in helping solve crimes and informing disaster response. The LASD brought together industry leading eyewitness and infrastructure technology companies, CitizenGlobal and Amazon Web Services, to help launch the LEEDIR platform. LEEDIR is now available to all law enforcement and relief agencies across the United States.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office greatly appreciates the assistance of the LEEDIR partnership as the investigation into those responsible for the Deltopia Civil Unrest continues.
