Goleta - June 6th, 2013
At around 12:10 p.m. this afternoon, a resident in the 700 block of Cambridge Drive in Goleta came home and found two men wearing masks in the process of burglarizing the home. The suspects ran off and the homeowner called 9-1-1 for help. The suspects were witnessed leaving in a silver Nissan Maxima.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the home and began looking for the suspects. 9-1-1 dispatchers sent out a description of the vehicle and the suspects. Several minutes later, a Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the suspect vehicle driving eastbound on Cathedral Oaks Road near Foothill School. The Deputy followed the vehicle and called for back-up. The intersection of Cathedral Oaks Road and Via Chapparal was closed in order for Deputies to conduct a high risk stop on the vehicle. The suspects were pulled over and taken into custody.
