Sheriff's Narcotics Detectives Make Arrest for Drugs / Child Endangerment

Santa Barbara - May 14th, 2008

On May 14, 2008 Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Detectives served a search warrant at a residence on the 300-Block of Mission Street. Detectives found approximately 80 grams of cocaine ($80,000 street value), a digital scale, plastic packaging material and $1,323 in cash.

Detectives discovered the suspect 30-year old Isidro Muro in a bedroom with his girlfriend 30-year old Melind Grijalva and his three year old daughter. They also found four bindles of cocaine on the bedroom floor in the pockets of a pair of pants owned by Muro.

Muro was taken into custody and will be charged with Possession of Cocaine for Sale and Child Endangerment due to the three year old’s easy access to the cocaine on the floor. He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail and held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Grijalva, who was released at the scene with a citation, was found with a methamphetamine pipe and will be charged with Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.
