Armed Robbery Suspects Successfully Apprehended Following Short Pursuit and Traffic Collision

Santa Maria, Calif. – Deputies successfully apprehended threes robbery suspects following a short vehicle pursuit that ended in a traffic collision. On Friday, September 22, 2023, deputies responded to Domino’s Pizza in the 3400-block of Orcutt Road for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The suspects were described as two males wearing ski masks and armed with handguns. The suspects fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival in a white Toyota Camry.

Deputies responding to the area spotted a vehicle matching the suspect’s description and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled from deputies and crashed into a bystander vehicle on Bradley at Lakeview. The driver of the suspect vehicle, 29-year-old Gloria Fernandez Lopez of Santa Maria and two passengers, 23-year-old Michael Saucedo and 27-year-old Mitchel Sipe of Bakersfield were arrested at the scene and received medical attention for injuries resulting from the collision. The bystander driver sustained minor injuries in the collision.

All suspects booked for robbery (felony), conspiracy (felony), brandishing a replica firearm (misdemeanor), possession of stolen property (felony), criminal threats (felony), kidnapping (felony), burglary (felony), possession of a controlled substance without a prescription (misdemeanor), and false imprisonment (felony). Fernandez Lopez was also booked for evading arrest causing serious injuries (felony).  All suspects are being held on $500,000 bail.

During their follow-up investigation, deputies learned that these same suspects were involved in a similar robbery at the Arroyo Grande Domino’s Pizza earlier in the evening.
