Isla Vista, Calif.  –Deputies have arrested a Camarillo man for indecent exposure following a month-long investigation. On February 26, 2025, deputies took a report of a suspect exposing himself to a woman who was waiting for a bus in the area of Embarcadero Del Mar and Seville Road. Deputies attempted to locate the suspect at the time of the initial report but were unsuccessful.

In the month that followed, deputies followed up on this case, identified a suspect, and authored an arrest warrant for 43-year-old Shaun Burree of Camarillo that was approved on March 10, 2025. On Thursday, March 27, 2025, at approximately 5:33 p.m., deputies in the 6600-block of Abrego Road recognized Burree and his vehicle from a be-on-the-lookout. Deputies contact Burree and arrested him without incident. He was booked at the Main Jail and has since been released on $10,000 bail.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to highlight that the reporting party in this case was aware of her surroundings, protected her personal safety, captured a picture of the suspect when it was safe, and promptly notified law enforcement. Her actions aided in the successful apprehension of this suspect, along with the persistent follow-up of the investigating deputies.
